O’ cruel fate, to be thusly boned…

With the final season of Futurama on Comedy Central set to begin June 19, 2013 (US), it makes this mega-fan wonder what will become of the Planet Express crew after the last episode (scheduled to air September 4, 2013).

Futurama has already had several “Lives”

  • Fox TV – Seasons 1-4 (1999-2003)
  • 4 DVD movies aired as 4 part episodes (Season 5) Comedy Central (2008-09)
  • Comedy Central – Seasons 6-7 (2010-2013)

As a super-fan of Futurama and The Simpsons whose life has been joyously ruined by EA Mobile’s mega-hit The Simpsons Tapped Out (TSTO), I would be among the first in line to buy premium content for Futurama Tapped Out (FTO).

This would be the perfect media for Professor Farnsworth, and his wacky group of loveable screw-ups, to ride out their next hiatus. Come on, Matt, David, Fox & EA please let the gang live on in Futurama Tapped Out.

Futurama’s Wikipedia page says that co-creator Matt Groening will try to get the series picked up by another network. That would be so cool! I don’t know off-hand, but that would have to be some sort of record for a TV series returning from cancelation.

Anyone else that would like to play FTO, or see Futurama reborn yet again, is welcome to leave a comment.  All my posts will be “in the spirit of the show”, which is pretty dang wide open but still within (PG-13, TV-14, etc.) guidelines. I ask that any replies or comments do likewise. This blog is moderated. That means comments must be approved before they appear on FTO Tips.

I’m aware of some controversy over the quality of content in Comedy Central years. I don’t care about that, at all. To me Futurama is Futurama; it’s all good and I want more, more, more, please! I’m sorry if this seems unfair. If you’ve got a point you must get published (and I’m not doing it here) there’s an easy solution, just start another blog where you’re the moderator. The Internet is most versatile in that way.  🙂

Oh cruel fate, to be thusly boned. Ask not for whom the bone bones, It bones for thee!

Godfellas” is one of my all-time favorite Futurama episodes. Great quotes abound. Like when Bender is contemplating drifting endlessly through eternity.

“O’ cruel fate, to be thusly boned.
Ask not for whom the bone bones.
It bones for thee.”

OK, must get back to TSTO. Big doings afoot. Rumors are flying about the coming of Squidport! Gotta go tap-out a bunch of game cash before it gets here!!!
